Hello! My name is Dhia Rahmania Putri
Hello! Today, i need to tell you, About Ouran H.S.H.C
The Ouran Host Club (also known as the Ouran High School Host Club)
is an independently functioning high school club that was founded by
Tamaki Suoh, the self declared and unquestioned leader of the club. The
club is located in Music Room #3 of the high school grade level building
of Ouran Academy.
Although she is not as rich as the others, Haruhi, the main character,
strives on her grades and recieves a scholarship to attend this
prestigious school. But another thing that our female lead lacks besides
money is a feminine sense of style, because she is ultimately able to
fool many of peers into thinking she is a boy.
Prior to the establishment of the club, many of its members were
considered outcasts. However, as time progressed, the members of the
club skyrocketed in terms of popularity among their peers (which
consists mostly of girls). The club was created with the sole purpose
and vow of entertaining and pleasing all who visit the club regardless
of the person's background or preferences. The Host Club usually holds a
fundraiser each season of the school year for publicity. Due to the
fact that the Host Club is an independently managed club, all profits
made go to the club's budget for future club events as well as practical
uses.
Now, I need tell you about Character
Haruhi Fujioka
Haruhi Fujioka (藤岡 ハルヒ, Fujioka Haruhi) is the main character of the Ouran High School Host Club series. She is an intelligent first-year student from a middle-class ("poor" to Ouran standards) family who attends the Ouran Academy on a special scholarship that requires her to rank first in her class. She joined the Ouran Host Club
to pay off a ¥8,000,000 debt after breaking an expensive vase which was
for an auction. At first, due to her short hair and androgynous
clothes, everyone thinks that she is a feminine-looking boy (apart from Kyoya Ootori,
who knew she was a girl from the beginning and the others found out
along the way during the first episode.) Even after the club found out
her true gender, Haruhi still dresses in the male uniform and pretends
to be male so she can work off her debt as a host.
Haruhi is, above all, independent and straightforward, and believes
that your gender should not define your personality. Since she was
raised differently from her classmates at Ouran, she displays more
practical, down to earth, responsible qualities and is not easily swayed
by the charms of the other hosts. Even when she first meets the hosts,
she only reacts nervously instead of becoming immediately infatuated
like most of the girls. Haruhi has a deeper voice than other female
students, so she is not easily recognized as a girl.
Although habitually unflappable, it is shown that she fears
thunderstorms (Brontophobia), which terrify her to the point that she is
stricken with paralysis. She enjoys peace and quiet, doesn't mind
working, and is a fanatic about fancy tuna, which is used as a bribe to
get her involved in some of the more peculiar Host Club schemes. Without
bribery, Haruhi is described as "apathetic" by the twins when it comes
to making some decisions, usually with regard to the host club. Haruhi
is sometimes unaware of her own feelings, like her feelings of love for
Tamaki in volume 13.
At her old school, she had many friends and was asked out a lot,
showing she was somewhat more sociable than at Ouran. Even so, she
becomes a popular Host with her regular conversation and charming smile.
She often shows her exasperation and distaste for the club, and even
her fellow members, but she cares deeply for each of them. They, in
turn, love her and regard her very highly, though they don't all put it
into words (e.g. Kyoya and Takashi). All six of them are very protective
of her.
In her first appearance
Haruhi is introduced with a very geeky, boyish look: short messy
hair, big glasses, and a baggy outfit. Haruhi has a slender build,
causing her body to lack feminine features which is mentioned a few
times throughout the series. She has brown hair which she cut shortly
after a boy stuck gum in there a few days before school.
Usual Appearance
She sometimes has to wear a long wig that resembles how her hair
used to be. Clients often comment on her big, shining eyes, saying they
give her a more girlish look; the shining is actually caused by her
contacts, which the Host Club gave her after realizing that she had some
"potential". Throughout the course of the series, many people - girls
and boys - grow a crush on her after seeing her charming smile. She
resembles her late mother who was a lawyer. She has worn a dress at
Ouran a few times, usually as a disguise. Just before she left to study
abroad, she revealed to the school she was in fact a girl. The students
seemed to have already realized this, but what they thought they
realized was that Haruhi was a crossdresser. Haruhi is 155 cm tall (5'1).
Tamaki Suoh
René Tamaki Richard de Grandtaine, or Tamaki Suoh, is the founder and president of the Ouran Host Club
While he is flamboyant and narcissistic, he is dedicated to his duties
as a host. He is the "Princely type," who entertains customers with an
upper class etiquette and shameless flattery. He is partial to classic
piano music and plays exceedingly well. He refers to his Club as his
"family": Kyoya Ootori being the mother figure; Haruhi Fujioka being the daughter; Hikaru and Kaoru as the brothers; Mori and Honey as the neighbors.
As Tamaki is the main comic relief character of the series, he is
outspoken and naïve for his age, especially since he only views himself
as an obsessive father figure to Haruhi; however, in reality he is in
love with her. Mori (as well as Honey) points out his naiveté when it
comes to how he truly feels about Haruhi, and the rest of the club sees
this too. His naiveté applies to his overall dense approach to his own
feelings, though he is very perceptive of the feelings of others, which
Hikaru and Kaoru both note. He often gets jealous of other boys who get
close to Haruhi and admires her natural abilities. Both characters
eventually realize they have feelings for the other.
Tamaki is half Japanese and half French, and is in his father's
custody. His father is the wealthy chairman of Ouran Academy. They live
separately from his French mother because of a deal between Tamaki's ill
mother and cold-hearted paternal grandmother. Tamaki lives at the Suoh
family's second mansion while his father lives at the main mansion with
Tamaki's grandmother. Despite his grandmother forbidding Tamaki from
seeing his mother, Tamaki treats his grandmother kindly and persuades
her to accept him as a part of the Suo family. In volume 16, he
befriended and become close with Megumi Kanoya who is a new student
suffering from family troubles. Tamaki realizes that he cannot help
Megumi because her family matters are similar to his own family matters.
He has rejected her romantic advances twice, since his feelings towards
her are more of a familial affection.
Tamaki has light blonde hair and blue-violet eyes. He wears the standard
Ouran High School male uniform. He often uses his good-looks to win
over women and is considered an expert host. He seems to gain most of
his looks from his French mother's side. Tamaki has changed his
appearance many times depending on what the Ouran Host Club's theme is.
He can cry very easily even when he is not upset to please the women
guests. He has been told he looks similar to Umehito Nekozawa.
Kyoya Ootori
Kyoya Ootori, a second year student at Ouran Academy, is the sly
and calculating vice-president of the Host Club founded by his best
friend and polar opposite, Tamaki Suoh
. Despite Tamaki being president, Kyoya truly runs the club and plays
the role of a puppet-master behind the scenes, earning him the nickname
“Shadow King”. He takes care of the Host Club’s expenses and will even
sell items belonging to the host club members (such as Haruhi’s pencil)
for profit.
In his words, “use whatever is at hand, be it friend or foe.” Almost
everything he does is for his own benefit, but he can occasionally
display a selfless side. He is the third son of his very wealthy and
influential family; thus, if he wants to take over his family's
business, he must work extremely hard to meet his strict father’s high
expectations. Also, Kyoya's bad temper when waking up in the morning has
earned him the name “Low blood pressure Evil Lord”.
The true manager of the club, Kyoya Ootori, is shown to be calculating, knowledgeable, and scheming, although not a bad person.
He is from a very powerful big-business family that deals
predominantly in medicine, and secretly feels slightly overshadowed by
his older brothers, who he knows are far more likely to one day inherit
the company instead of him. However, despite the circumstances, he does
have great confidence in his own abilities and finds the situation to be
more of an interesting game than a roadblock.
He does all the financial and planning aspects of the Host Club, from managing budgets to selling off merchandise.
His manner towards clients is very pleasant and civil, and is
said to be "the cool type." As a complete foil to Tamaki, even in
appearance, he often realizes things Tamaki
or the others are too naive to understand (and usually keeps the
information to himself for his own amusement), and is the "Mom" to the
father figure of Tamaki.
He sleeps late, often due to business and school. In chapter 28, Kyoya mentions staying up until 5am.
He is often polite to people who are in power or related to it,
and claims he only helps people so he can get ahead in the business
circles. Haruhi
finds this untrue when he keeps a woman from being scammed before Kyoya
tells her that she was the wife of an important business man, and that
he knew that by looking at her ring. She then realizes that there was no
way he could have seen the ring - there was a poster blocking their
view from where they were standing - and comes to the conclusion that
Kyoya is really a nice guy who likes to help others but hides it under a
cool face. This isn't far from the truth.
Kyoya has short, black hair, usually styled into a smart/casual look. He
is thin, five feet, ten inches tall (five foot, eleven in the anime),
and wears slim, rimless glasses which seem to flash when he's scheming,
angry, or secretly frightened. His fashion sense is not as
intellectual as his character may suggest, his entire wardrobe is full
of designer wear. He's most often seen in jeans and designer tops when
he
isn't in his school uniform, and he seems to have a preference for
darker clothes. His eyes are a grey/black colour. Kyoya is always
dressed well, usually pulling off a smart/casual look without fault.
Mitsukuni 'Honey' Haninozuka
Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka is the "loli-shota"- an older boy
who likes cute things. When his role is threatened he tries his best to
be even cuter. As such, he is usually happy-go-lucky and smiling. He's
optimistic and likes to eat anything sweet, especially cake. His
childish appearance makes him look like he should still be in an
Elementary School, however he is the oldest and youngest host.
He appears to be dimwitted, but actually is very smart, and is able to
see that Tamaki, Hikaru, and Kaoru has feelings for Haruhi. Even though
he is usually happy, he can be angered somewhat easily, and can be very
intimidating to the other hosts. This often results in the Hosts having
strange rumors about him, such as Honey fighting off two platoons of US
Green Berets, when the idea itself was impossible.
Honey is quite short for his age with a very childish face (This is
explained by his birthday being on leap year, February 29th, so it only
comes once every 4 years making him "4" years old).
He has short blonde hair, pale skin and is usually seen with the
standard school uniform. He is also seen mainly with his stuffed rabbit
Usa-chan (BunBun).
He is rarely seen without Takashi "Mori" Morinozuka. He is almost
always on Mori's shoulder's. Honey is also seen with flowers around him
in the manga. The only time there is not any is when he is upset.
Takashi 'Mori' Morinozuka
Takashi Morinozuka (also known as Mori or Mori-sempai) is a high school student of Ouran Academy. He is a host/member of the Ouran Host Club. As a host he is considered the "Bad Ass" or "Wild Type" of the group. He is almost never seen without the company of Mitsukuni Haninozuka
who is often seen hanging from Mori's back. Mori is often considered a
"silent type" and considers Honey as both his friend and "spokesperson".
The Morinozuka family had protected and served the Haninozuka family
for many generations but marriage joined the families two generations
ago, breaking the master-servant tradition. Despite that, Mori still
faithfully protects Honey and attends to his wishes. His protectiveness
extends to his classmates and fellow host club members, gaining him a
certain level of respect. However, when he is tired, he becomes
uncharacteristically talkative and flirtatious. Mori’s hobbies include
kendo and karate. He also has a peculiar connection with animals as seen
when he takes in a stray tanuki as his pet. In the manga, it is pointed
out that Mori has a "fetish for small things" (Honey, Haruhi, etc.). It
is mentioned that Mori likes seashells. He is the most benevolent of
the hosts.
Hikaru Hitachiin
Hikaru Hitachiin is one of the twins and the "seme" of the
relationship. He is in class 1A with his twin brother Kaoru. Hikaru is
considered the leader twin and is very bad at controlling his feelings,
very unlike Kaoru. Hikaru Hitachiin is one of the Host Club members in the Ouran High School Host Club series. He and his twin brother, Kaoru Hitachiin, are introduced when Haruhi Fujioka
stumbles upon the host club. Hikaru is in class 1A along with his
brother and Haruhi, making him (and his brother) major rivals for
Haruhi's time. The customers at the host club that request Hikaru and
Kaoru appear to like the "brotherly love" that they pretend to have.
Also a common game to be played at the host club is the "Which one is
Hikaru?" game. And only Haruhi has been able to distinct them apart in
Ouran.
Hikaru's uniform is a periwinkle blazer, white shirt, black pants, and a
black tie with a purple stripe (the typical Ouran uniform). He has
short, auburn, and somewhat messy hair (in the anime it's red/orange and
quite spiky), though he dyed his hair dark ash (in chapter 53 of the
manga) to make it easier to tell the difference between him and his twin
brother, Kaoru. He has dyed it pink before, as well (and blue next to
confuse the Host Club customers). Hikaru parts his hair to the left, so
it looks like the mirror image of the person facing him (Kaoru's hair is
the oppisite, his hair is to the right also his hair is dark as well),
and although they mention that they switch parts every day, the parting
is consistent unless they are purposely trying to confuse people (which
has definitely happened before). He has topaz eyes, making him look
somewhat like a devil, which is fitting since he is the "little devil"
type of host, together with Kaoru. His face is thin and he has pale
skin. He is 178 centimetres (5'11) tall.
Both Hikaru and Kaoru are mischievous and playful, but Hikaru is the
more boisterous one, as well as being selfish, stubborn, and immature.
Even when separated from Kaoru, he acts basically the same Haruhi states
this in the show, though because he no longer has his brother to occupy
him, he can become rather destructive.
Hikaru is rather childish, and doesn't know how to interact with other
people besides his brother since they both spent so long shutting out
the rest of the world.
Hikaru and Kaoru were born as twins (of course) and spent all of their
time together, only recently learning to open up and become friends with
other people. Their mother is a wealthy fashion designer, whom both of
them seem to take after in appearance, and have grown up to be much like
her in personality and fashion skills as well. Their father on the
other hand manages a computer software company and doesn't seem to
resemble them at all. Mr. Hitachiin is refered to as a "ghost" because
he is often not noticed and doesn't interact much with his sons and he
is also very quiet. As a child Hikaru grew up never being apart from his
brother and they both became very codependent on each other. All
through grade school he and his brother refused to accept anyone into
their "world" if they couldn't tell the two twins apart as it upset them
that no one could honestly do so. They kept to themselves until Tamaki
asked them to help him create the host club, though at first they
refused, but eventually joined after Tamaki tried relentlessly to tell
the two apart. Hikaru is now friends with everyone in the club, and is
very protective of them. He seems to be easily upset by being reminded
of his somewhat secluded childhood (other than being with his brother)
and throws his emotions at people insensitively, since he is so used to
being with just his brother. Like in the episode Operation Haruhi and
Hikaru's first date he gets slapped by Haruhi, when being rude to her
old friend, and he yells at her leading to him running to his room and
Kaoru following him to see if he was alright.
Later, in Chapter 50, Hikaru gets mad because all Haruhi would talk
about was Tamaki, and how she wished he could go back to France to see
his mother, and storms off, shortly followed by Kaoru. After expressing
his frustration to his brother, and asking why he felt this way, Kaoru
smiles and says, "Hikaru, it's because you love Haruhi. You love Haruhi,
as a woman. Isn't that why you feel jealous of Tamaki?" Hikaru just
looks at him, dumbly.
Kaoru Hitachiin
Kaoru Hitachiin is the younger twin and the "uke" of the relationship. He is in class 1A with his older twin brother Hikaru. Even though he is the younger twin, he is much more mature than Hikaru.
Kaoru is one of the Host club members in the Ouran High School Host Club
series and is introduced along with his twin brother, Hikaru, and the
rest of the Host Club when Haruhi Fujioka
stumbles upon said club in Music Room #3. Kaoru is in class 1A along
with his brother Hikaru; making him (and Hikaru) major rivals for
Haruhi's time. The customers at the Host Club that request Hikaru and
Kaoru appear to like the "brotherly love" that they have. Also a common
game to be played at the Host Club is the "Which one is Hikaru?" game.
Kaoru's usual outfit is a periwinkle blazer, white shirt, black pants,
and a black tie with a purple stripe (the typical Ouran uniform). He has
short, auburn, and somewhat messy hair (in the anime it's red/orange
and quite spiky). He has dyed it blue before (and pink the next to
confuse the Host Club customers and try and confuse Haruhi). Kaoru parts
his hair to the right, so it looks parted to the left side of the
person facing him (Hikaru's is the opposite), and although they mention
that they switch parts every day, the parting is consistent unless they
are purposely trying to confuse people (which has definitely happened
before). He has golden topaz eyes, making him look somewhat devilish,
which is fitting since he is the "little devil" type in the Host Club,
together with Hikaru. His face is thin and he has pale (not pasty) skin.
Both Hikaru and Kaoru are mischievous and playful, but Kaoru is the
calmer one of the two. He is also kind, understanding, and often more
mature than Hikaru, despite being the younger brother. When separated
from Hikaru, he is easy-going and a nice person to be with, becoming
even serious and selfless, contrasting his usually playful attitude.
Kaoru has some idea of how to interact with people besides his brother;
they both spent so long shutting out the rest of the world before the
Host Club, but he learned rather fast to be with other people and
respect others' decisions. They also both think they are cool but they
are actually very stupid.
Hikaru and Kaoru were born as twins and spent all of their time
together, only recently learning to open up and become friends with
other people. Their mother is a wealthy fashion designer, and both of
them seem to take after her in appearance; they have grown up to be much
like her in personality and fashion skills as well. Their father on the
other hand manages a computer software company and doesn't seem to
resemble them at all. Mr. Hitachiin is referred to as a "ghost" because
he is often not noticed. As a child Kaoru grew up never being apart from
his brother (one would think because of this he'd be the more emotional
of the two) and they both became very codependent on each other.
All through grade school he and his brother refused to accept
anyone into their "world" if they couldn't tell the two twins apart as
it upset them that no one could honestly do so. They kept to themselves
until Tamaki asked them to help him create the Host Club, and though at
first they refused, they eventually joined after Tamaki tried
relentlessly to tell the two apart (and eventually succeeded). Kaoru is
now friends with everyone in the club, and is very protective of them.
He can control his emotions rather well, able to stay back if necessary
and control his temper, being more reasonable than his brother when they
get upset over something.
